Are you a welder who enjoys hands-on work, technical challenges, and doing a good job?

We are currently looking for welders for our day shift.

As a welder, you will play an important role in the manufacturing of our chassis. You will be required to interpret welding plans and symbols and ensure that your work meets established standards.

You will work in a stimulating manufacturing environment where quality, safety, versatility and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.

Tasks

• Read and interpret manufacturing plans and welding symbols.
• Mastering assembly techniques using a trestle, a square, and at different angles.
• Create basic assembly jigs.
• Adjust the templates and assemble the parts using them.
• Inspect the parts and assemblies, and verify the conformity of the work carried out.
• Perform self-inspection of weld quality.
• Weld according to the parameters defined on the technical drawings.
• Organize and maintain your workstation, equipment and tools.
• Perform basic machine maintenance.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure quality and the achievement of production objectives.

Required qualifications

• Hold a vocational studies diploma (DEP) in welding or relevant experience related to the position.
• Understanding technical drawings and being able to read plans.
• Understanding welding symbols.
• Recognizing welding defects.
• Use and interpret measuring instruments.
• Adjust the welding parameters according to the specifications.
• Handle parts and assemblies safely.
• Pass the practical welding exam.
• Having training and certification as a slinger (an asset).
