Job description

The mechanical engineer designs and improves mechanical systems by collaborating with teams to implement new equipment, including robots. He/she analyzes needs, proposes automation solutions, and optimizes performance.

This role includes analyzing needs, proposing automation solutions, and optimizing the performance of systems.

The position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations Support and Strategy.

Tasks
  • Design, develop, and improve equipment for various projects related to optimizing production processes.
  • Participate in the implementation of new equipment, including robots, in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
  • Analyze technical needs and propose automation solutions tailored to operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of new mechanical and robotic equipment.
  • Provide technical follow-up during the implementation and post-implementation phases to maximize project efficiency.
  • Participate in the development and updating of technical documents and user manuals for new systems.
  • Support personnel in the use and maintenance of equipment to ensure its effective operation.
  • Identify and propose improvements to optimize the integration of new technologies into production lines.
  • Manage project schedules and resources to ensure success and meet deadlines.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders (production, engineering, purchasing) during technical and coordination meetings.
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested based on the company’s needs.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Over 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
