Job description

Max-Atlas is looking for an Industrial Painter to join our team. This permanent, full-time position is for a passionate, rigorous and experienced candidate who is looking for challenges in a stimulating manufacturing environment. This position is internally named Master Painter.

Job type : Full time, Permanent.

Remuneration: $35.60 per hour.

Tasks
  • Detect all defects and perform repairs professionally.
  • Adjust paint ratios according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and carry out all necessary mixing.
  • Train other painters in the execution of their tasks.
  • Adjust paint pumps and equipment.
  • Know the drying times according to product parameters and in relation to atmospheric conditions and ambient temperatures (winter/summer).
  • Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of spray guns (paint and primer).
  • Make sure to have clean air caps and nozzles on hand and ready for use.
  • Drain each pump according to the defined procedures.
  • Manage paint drums: replacement, labeling, and arrangement.
  • Maintain paint pumps and equipment.
  • Manage waste and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Complete required documentation and reports.
  • Any other related tasks.
Required qualifications
  • Hold the necessary training or experience to diagnose and resolve painting issues, including reading blueprints.
  • Minimum of 5 years related to the role of painter in a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess certification for the use of a boom lift (PFE).
  • Pass the practical and theoretical tests. These qualification tests will be approved by the paint manufacturer.
Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of painting application techniques.
  • Final Year Project – Working at heights.
  • Knowledge of viscosity measurements.
  • WHMIS training.
  • Proficiency in French required.
