Assembler – Welder
Job description
We are currently seeking several assemblers-welders to join our team across our various shifts: day, evening (evening premium), and night (night premium).
The successful candidates will be responsible for assembling and welding parts using MIG welding, respecting specifications and technical drawings, while ensuring quality work that meets production standards.
We also have welding robots, which can be used to supply and operate automated equipment in addition to manual labor. Candidates may therefore be asked to participate in robotic welding operations, supply the robots, and ensure the smooth running of production cycles.
Tasks
- Able to work independently;
- Mastering the techniques of assembly using squares, set squares and angles;
- Capable of manufacturing basic assembly jigs;
- Capable of adjusting a jig and assembling parts using a jig;
- Capable of cutting with oxy-fuel cutter and manual plasma cutter;
- Capable of inspecting others ;
- Capable of organizing and maintaining their workstation (equipment and tools);
- Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) qualification;
- Basic machine maintenance;
- Capable of self-inspecting weld quality;
- Ability to weld according to the parameters defined in the drawings.
Required qualifications
- Understanding technical drawing / blueprint reading;
- Understanding welding symbols;
- Knowledge of welding defects;
- Pass the theoretical and practical exam;
- Must hold a professional studies diploma and/or relevant prior experience related to the position;
- Capable of using and interpreting measuring instruments;
- Capable of adjusting welding parameters;
- Capable of safely handling parts and assemblies;
- Training and certification of slingers.
