- Schedule: 40 hours/week
We are seeking a skilled Receiver/Sender to join our team. The position includes receiving, shipping, and handling goods. The candidate must possess a valid forklift operator’s license, be comfortable operating a forklift, and hold an overhead crane certification. A Class 1 or 3 driver’s license is required (Class 1 is a significant asset) to drive our truck (shunter). Attention to detail, autonomy, and adherence to safety standards are essential.
Tasks
Reception
- Capable of working independently.
- Understanding of the inventory receiving and control system.
- Capable of safely handling the components and materials received.
- Capable of supervising and training others in the safe handling of raw materials and components.
- Capable of reading inspection instructions and inspecting equipment.
- Capable of verifying documents.
- Capable of reading and entering transactions into a computerized system.
- Capable of handling the follow-up of incomplete orders.
- Capable of detecting errors and correcting them (or initiating the necessary steps).
- Capable of self-inspection and generating reports.
- Capable of delivering materials to the addresses within the factory designated according to the modeling instructions.
- Capable of organizing his workstation.
- Capable of organizing and maintaining order in storage areas for materials and parts.
- Capable of performing basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Capable of participating in the inventory count.
- Capable of managing defective or obsolete inventories.
- Capable of organizing and maintaining order in storage areas for parts and finished manufactured products.
Shipping
- Understanding the shipping/stacking system.
- Capable of managing the follow-up of incomplete deliveries.
- Capable of safely handling parts and products to be shipped.
- Capable of stacking trailers for transport (staking).
- Capable of preparing trailers for transport.
- Capable of self-inspection of trailers ready for transport.
- Capable of inspecting parts and trailers ready for transport.
- Capable of verifying transport documents.
- Capable of properly packaging parts for delivery to an external client and ensuring their shipment within the required timeframe.
Required qualifications
- Understanding technical drawings/blueprint reading.
- Understanding the ERP computer system.
- Capable of using the ERP computer system.
- Capable of entering transactions into a computerized ERP system.
- Must hold a vocational diploma and/or have relevant experience related to the position.
- Capable of using and interpreting measuring instruments.
- Forklift operator training and certification.
- Training and certification of slingers.
