Job description

The industrial engineer plays a key role in improving the manufacturing performance of the company. A true leader, he/she is proactive and committed to the continuous optimization of processes by applying Lean Manufacturing principles. His/her mission is to create and promote a culture of performance and operational excellence. In collaboration with production teams and other departments, he/she develops innovative strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure sustainable results.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement. This position is essential for establishing a solid operational foundation that supports the company’s growth.

The position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations Support and Strategy.

Tasks
  • Observe, document, and optimize production flows for each workstation.
  • Establish, document, and implement the work cycles for each model in collaboration with production managers.
  • Identify and propose improvements to cycles or products to simplify assembly operations.
  • Measure cycle times to define optimal and efficient loading for each of them.
  • Rebalance work cycles based on production needs and identified issues.
  • Develop and implement the processes and documents required regarding safety, quality, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Mentor and coach teams in continuous improvement projects such as 5S, Kanban, Kaizen.
  • Keep the list of ongoing projects and action plans up to date and ensure follow-up.
  • Coordinate the workload with the manager to prioritize based on business needs.
  • Actively participate in initiatives aimed at improving health and safety at work.
  • Collaborate closely with departments involved in improvement processes (production, planning, engineering, purchasing).
  • Attend and participate in daily management meetings.
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested based on the business needs.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.
  • More than 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
