CNC Operator (Evening shift)
Job description
As a CNC operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process by operating numerical control machines to cut metal parts with precision. You will be responsible for adjusting machine parameters, reading technical drawings, inspecting parts, and performing basic maintenance on equipment. Your diligence will ensure the quality of the produced parts while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Tasks
Operation and Adjustment
- Operate a CNC machine to cut metal parts according to technical specifications.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings in imperial and metric measurements (inches and millimeters).
- Make necessary adjustments to machine parameters and programs.
- Check the conformity of parts and correct any detected non-conformities
Quality Control
- Use appropriate measuring instruments to perform accurate checks.
- Ensure rigorous quality control of cuts and dimensions.
Safety and Maintenance
- Handle parts, steel plates, and scrap safely.
- Perform basic maintenance on the machine and cutting tools.
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Required qualifications
- Professional Studies Diploma (DEP) in machining, metal processing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience in CNC machine operation.
- Valid certification for operating a forklift (an asset).

- Proficiency in both imperial and metric measurement systems.
- Ability to take accurate measurements using appropriate instruments.

- Attention to detail, precision, and autonomy in executing work.
- Ability to handle parts, steel plates, and scrap materials safely.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work in a structured environment.
